Finding Inspiration in Details
An awe-inspiring sunset, a stunning gecko gracefully moving across a desert path, the vortexes in red rocks, a sea lion that poses for the camera, or the universe in a drop of water allow me to appreciate the magic surrounding us. Reflections make me ponder. Which of the two realities makes a better backdrop for a story? In respecting the environment, I open the gateway to deep work, seeking the voices of Henry David Thoreau and Rachel Carson as I attune with the Earth, my primary Muse.
Our Story
Every hike, travel, and photograph nest a story, a poem, a memory, or a vignette. Each viewshed offers an excellent opportunity to build a well-crafted background to ground a scene. Describing how a leaf glides toward the crispy dry carpet in the forest frames a delightful setting.
Meet Some of the Ambassadors That Inspire Me to Ink
"The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for destruction."
